Blackberry User Agent Strings

12Jan10

Last fall, I worked on a project that required mobile phone detection, specifically Verizon Blackberries and a couple of BREW phones. I’ve been wanting to post this for anyone who needs it, b/c it was a b*tch to find this info on Google. Actually, I don’t remember actually finding all of these through Google, these strings come straight from a UA detection app I wrote.

Anyway, here they are for your consumption.

Blackberry Curve: BlackBerry8330/4.5.0.77 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry Curve 2: BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.337 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry Storm: BlackBerry9530/4.7.0.148 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry Storm 2: BlackBerry9550/5.0.0.287 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry Tour : BlackBerry9630/4.7.1.40 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry Pearl Flip: BlackBerry8230/4.6.1.234 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry Pearl: BlackBerry8130/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105
Blackberry World: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105

Keep in mind that “VendorID/105” specifies Verizon networks.
